| Deer Breeder Permit Annual Report and Renewal Application Now Available |
Dear Texas Deer Breeder,
The Annual Report Checklist and Permit Renewal Application are now available online, and must be completed in TWIMS by May 15. The renewal fee payment may be submitted online with a credit card or by mail with a check or money order, after completing the Annual Report Checklist. If you were issued a multi-year permit last year no permit renewal fee is required, but an Annual Report must be submitted. If you do not intend to renew or retain your permit, then a Notification of Closure must be submitted by May 15.
A help manual with step-by-step instructions for completing the Annual Report Checklist or submitting a Notification of Closure is available at: Click Here
Please note the following:
- Only the permitted deer breeder's TWIMS account can access the annual report and permit renewal application. Designated facility agents cannot access the Annual Report Checklist or Permit Renewal Application.
- A reconciled herd inventory for the 2014 report year (the period of 4/1/2014 - 3/31/2015) must be verified by completing the Annual Report Checklist in TWIMS. Please note that the inventory submitted must accurately reflect the deer present in the facility.
- Qualified deer breeders and deer breeding facilities will have the option to apply for a 1, 3, or 5 year permit. Please refer to Texas Administrative Code for an explanation of multi-year permit eligibility requirements. Please note that facilities that are issued a multi-year permit must still complete an Annual Report each year.
If the instruction manual provided above does not answer your questions, then please contact the appropriate Deer Breeder Program staff member.
